Why does design thinking matter? This month the BIF Bookgroup will tackle the question and read Roger Martin's latest book The Design of Business: Why Design Thinking is the Next Competitive Advantage. Roger is a BIF research advisor and visionary Dean of the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
Recently named one of the top 50 management thinkers in the world by The Times (London), Roger’s book touts itself as a primer to help executives innovate through the use of design-thinking. Unlike his previous book The Opposable Mind that focused on people, this book gets into the how of design-thinking by providing some useful tools and advice to help executives acclimate themselves to this burgeoning field of thought.
I’ll be queuing up some conversation starters this week. And PLEASE feel free to post your own entries here in the discussion forum.
Join us and happy reading! Chris
Accolades for Roger's book:
