Kara works as an experience designer in the BIF Experience Labs where she combines her passion for people and multi-scalar design process to better understand the human experience. With her background in architecture, she approaches systems level problems with the notion that a successful solution comes from truly understanding the end user’s experience at all levels.

While studying at RISD, Kara was involved in many levels of community engagement, including her role as a Resident Assistant, leader of several service trips to Latin America, and engaging with the homeless community whenever possible. She is also part of the founding of Providence’s new chapter of Architecture for Humanity.
